When is the Open Day and Autumn Fair?

When is the Open Day and Autumn Fair?

Saturday 9 May 2026

9am to 4pm

Held on the school campus at 80-98 Park Road, Hurstville. The campus can be entered from Park Road and The Avenue.

The Fair includes more than 70 stalls, offering delicious food, art and crafts, fashion, jewellery, homewares, toys, classroom activities, cupcake decorating and much more! Look out for the coffee van, as well the petting zoo, juggler and stilt walker.

While street parking is available, visitors can also park at the Council parking on the corner of Park Road and Macmahon Street, and in Westfield Hurstville.

The Autumn Fair starts at 9am with student performances on the outdoor stage. Classrooms are open for visits from 10am. Teachers will be showcasing the outstanding learning environment within the classroom spaces with a number of hands-on activities for you to enjoy.

Guided tours are available for those who are not yet Danebank families. These start at 10am at the Junior School reception in the Carole Tisdell Learning Centre (picture right and look for the "Tours" flags). Tours can be booked here, with the last ones commencing at 3pm.

Sign up for a tour of Danebank's campus and facilities

Tours start from the Junior School Reception Office at 96 Park Road, Hurstville. Do also feel free to explore the school on your own during the day.

  • Junior School: Visit classrooms to see the wonderful student displays and participate in some interactive activities.
  • Senior School: All subjects, sporting facilities and the Library open up their doors with fun, interactive activities and displays. So make sure to visit them all.

Teachers are available in all classrooms to answer questions and help you to discover more about Danebank's Approach to Learning.

Discover Danebank!

At the Open Day and Autumn Fair, Danebank opens its doors to the community to explore the school, visit the classrooms and walk through the facilities. Many of the classrooms have displays, along with fun interactive activities. The talents of Danebank's students will be showcased on the outdoor stage.

Classroom displays are open from 10am to 3:30pm.

The Open Day program will be available here, a week before the Fair. This program will outline which classrooms will be open and where, as well as sport, cooking and musical demonstrations and performances.

What to Expect

The Autumn Fair is an exciting day of fun activities, great food and shopping. All our parents are invited to visit the Fair and we encourage you to invite your friends and family to experience our wonderful school.

Held on the Saturday before Mother’s Day, the Fair is a perfect  opportunity to grab a gift for all the mums and special women in our lives!

Card payments are encouraged and preferred.

Food Stalls

Food Stalls

A large range of great food and drink options will be available for you to enjoy. Come early and grab a bite to eat.

  • BBQ: Bacon and egg rolls and a sausage sizzle are always popular breakfast and lunch options.
  • Souvlaki: A firm favourite, this stall offers delicious lamb and chicken wraps.
  • Asian Food: From Singapore noodles and pork buns, to chilled puddings and spring rolls.
  • Cake Stall: The Danebank community generously bake and/or donate delicious sweet treats.
  • Devonshire Tea: A lovely way to take a break and connect with friends, family and our alumnae. The Danebank Old Girls Association's Devonshire Tea offers delicious warm drinks and scones with jam and cream in the Community Lounge.

There are also external stalls selling other delicious food and drink options such as gozleme, chips on a stick, ice creams and bubble tea.

There is plenty of fun for the kids, including:

  • Kids activities
  • Stilt walkers and jugglers
  • Cupcake decorating

Visit one of the external stalls for:

  • Face painting: Various designs available
  • Hair braiding: A popular choice!
  • Toys: A range of kids toys offered for sale
  • Petting Zoo: A collection of cute animals on site

Silent Auction

Silent Auction

Thanks to generous donations from Danebank families and businesses within the local community, the silent auction offers a range of hampers and gifts that you can inspect in person and bid on via an online site.

The auction runs until 2pm on Autumn Fair day and, at the close of the auction, the highest bidder will be contacted.

External Stalls

External Stalls

A range of speciality stalls are on offer, with a great selection of items for the whole community.

Stalls will be located in the auditorium of the Performing Arts Centre (PAC) and dotted across the school campus.

Stalls include:

  • Beautiful flowers
  • Fashion, jewellery, bags
  • Henna tattoos and hair brading
  • Cards, craft, art
  • Homewares, candles, gift wares
  • Gourmet food and honey
  • Toys and games
  • Cakes, sweets and drinks
  • Garden products, plants and succulents
