Gina Cohen

Gina is the longest serving staff member in CAPA, starting 22 years ago as a young, fresh faced Drama teacher. We wish her well as she moves to a school closer to home.

Gina or Gina Ballerina as she is affectionately referred to, began as a Drama/English teacher in 2002 at Danebank. She was at Sydney Girls prior to this, having just moved to Sydney from Adelaide.

Mary-Ann Flick

Retiring following decades of outstanding service to the school.

Ros and I met Mary-Ann in the 2000’s when we joined the Mathematics staff as part-timers. We loved sharing about our families with each other and it wasn’t long before she became our friend and confidante.

Angela James

We wish her well in her new position as a learning support teacher following her maternity leave.

It gives me great pleasure to speak about Angela and the impact she has had on Danebank in the 17 years she was a staff member.

The first time I met Ange was at a PDHPE Teachers Association Conference where she had volunteered to help our committee run a 2-day professional development in 2005. Ange had given up those days to do some voluntary work and gain experience in her last year at Wollongong University. She was a bundle of energy and extremely efficient and all our committee relied on her to get messages and assistance for the many workshops we were presenting.

Michele Jamieson

Retiring following seventeen years superbly fulfilling the role of Junior School Teacher Librarian.

Michele has not only taught the girls the fundamental library skills of information and digital literacy but she entwined these into the units of work that were currently being explored in the classroom. Just reading through Michele's programs made me want to be in her classes, whether they were Pre-K or Year 6.

Glenn Wilkins

Glenn Wilkins will finish in his role as Deputy Principal at the end of Term 4, 2023 to pursue new opportunities.

Since joining Danebank in 2018, Glenn has worked diligently as part of the School Executive Team, with an important role in leading, managing and developing our school. We appreciated Glenn’s leadership through significant periods in our recent history including when Mrs Maryanne Davis was unwell and through the challenges of the Covid pandemic, as he supported our community with the flexible and responsive approach to off-campus learning and school operations.

Sharon Williams

Retiring following wonderful work as our coordinator of learning enrichment.

Sharon joined us at Danebank 8 years ago as a Learning Support teacher with a focus on Literacy.

Within a couple of years, she was entrusted with creating and heading up the Learning Enrichment Team, P-12. Her expertise is beyond compare; her ability to pinpoint the areas of support required by each student is phenomenal as are the amazing programs she has written to improve comprehension skills and to develop a rich understanding of vocabulary.

Lisa Vos

We wish her well as she takes on a promotional position at AISNSW.

Lisa started here as a young, enthusiastic first-year out teacher in 2006 joining a small TAS team of Andrew Sip, Michele Hatton, Jayne Baratta, Florence Lee and Sue Sammuels. It was only 6 months later when her friend Rae joined the team.

Sandra Zanuttini

I have the sad task today of farewelling our beautiful friend and colleague, Sandra, who has decided to embrace retirement after an impressive 37 years of teaching.

There are some people in life that you may have only known for a short time, but who really have a lasting impact on you, and Sandra is one of these people.
